Julian has been a Light Painter for 20 years. "Light Painting" has taken the photography world by storm - it's a retro process of using glowing tools to make lighting effects in real time. It is NOT a digital process and is NOT done with Photoshop or graphics programs. While a modern camera is used, It is a REAL experience of light, and the amazing colors you see in these pictures were physically there.

Being photographed by Julian is super-exciting! You have no idea what's going to happen, but—because he's so sweet and so open—you immediately have the sense that it's going to be great. His ability to connect so kindly and to stay focused on people while he handles the creative and technical aspects of photography is really impressive. I felt like I was with a shaman working his magic around me -- totally clueless about the methodology but curious about the outcome. There was darkness, there was light, there was heat, there was color. And then the magic unfolded to reveal images of me - psychedelic, energetic, electric. I am curious about how it works and want to do it again!

A great Art experience! The photoshoot is trippy. A cool combination of bright lights and colors. A lot of positive energy flowing with colors and cameras. Julian is a great guy who loves his craft and making people feel special. He's super cool to Deadhead Cops.
